Below: [A true story; an homage. A man finds a number of personal audiotapes of his father, recorded 18 years earlier in the four months before his father's death, and, in a dream state, wonders what was and what could have been as he listens to them.]
I found these audiotapes in 2023, a welcome surprise among my father's old things in my apartment on a different continent, 18 years after his death. I digitized them and made this collage homage to him, a three-year process of savoring every last drop of my fading memory of him.
